TxEAC was formed to  combine the purchasing power of the participating members' electric loads to attract suppliers and obtain the best pricing available. The Permian Basin Petroleum Association, Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association, Texas Oil and Gas Association and the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers (formerly the North Texas Oil and Gas Association and the West Central Texas Oil and Gas Assoc.) formed the cooperative corporation to maximize their members' electricity purchasing power in the deregulated electric market.

Fowler Energy has developed an aggregation program to provide natural gas and electricity products, programs and services that help Texas hospitals reduce energy costs and improve operational performance. Fowler Energy has been working with Texas hospitals for over seven years. 

REAT is a joint venture between Vision Energy Consultants, Fowler Energy Company and Frontier Associates. Unlike most energy companies in Texas, none of the partners sell electricity, but solely represent the interests of their clients. REAT’s purpose is to minimize the electric costs and maximize services for members of several state associations and other members by providing the knowledge, expertise, and manpower to aggregate commercial customer electric loads and to procure electricity from the market.
